A delegation led by Lu Xinshe, secretary of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region CPC Committee, paid a visit to Guizhou province from April 21-23 to discuss cooperation with Guizhou Governor Shen Yiqin and Sun Zhigang, secretary of the Guizhou Provincial CPC Committee.
During the meeting, Lu expressed his hope for deeper connections between Guangxi and Guizhou regarding Belt and Road construction, Pan-Pearl River Delta regional cooperation, and the revitalization of the Zuojiang and Youjiang rivers revolutionary base.
Lu suggested that an improved mechanism be built to jointly promote the construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor in the western area and that a railway-sea transportation platform be launched to add more land-sea freight routes between the two places.
More exchanges and cooperation on coastal industries, big data, and cross-region tourism were also proposed to be promoted by Lu.
Sun agreed with Lu's ideas and hoped that practical cooperation will be extended to more fields like transportation, poverty alleviation, energy, tourism, agriculture, and traditional Chinese medicine, in an attempt to bring about more fruitful achievements between the two sides.
The delegation also gained better insight into the big data application center, the Guizhou-Cloud Big Data platform, the vocational education city in Qing Zhen, Manbang Group, which is China's Uber-like app for trucks, and some other areas.
An agreement framework was signed for accelerating the construction of provincial high-speed railway, expressway, and inland waterway between the two places.
