Sun Zhigang, Deputy Secretary of Guizhou Provincial CPC Committee, Governor of Guizhou
Sun was born in 1954, in the city of Xingyang, Henan province and joined the CPC in 1976. He has a PhD in economics and began to work in 1971. He became deputy secretary of the Guizhou Provincial CPC Committee in October 2015.
He was previously vice minister and Deputy Secretary of Party Leadership Group of the National Health and Family Planning Commission.
Sun became Governor of Guizhou on Jan 30, 2016.
