A large-scale light show will kick off in Jinchengjiang district, Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Dec 31, and will last until Feb 29, 2020.

With an investment of 50 million yuan ($7.1 million) by Hechi Tourism Development and Investment Co Ltd, the light show is themed around Liu Sanjie ("Third Sister Liu"), a legendary female folk singer of the Zhuang ethnic group. Other elements, such as red culture and longevity culture, will also be included.

A total of 37 distinctive large lantern sets and 29 3D light shows will be on display.
