First Fangchenggang-Moncay cross-border tourist group starts travelling

The launch ceremony for the initial Fangchenggang-Moncay cross-border tourist route was held on the morning of Dec 15.

A total of 117 people started their two-day tour together. They will travel in Guangxi's Fangchenggang and in Moncay in Vietnam.

The preparation for the cooperation started at the beginning of 2014. For nearly two years, the cities conducted friendly visits to investigate the characteristics of scenic spots, regional advantages and shortcomings and finally signed a cooperation agreement on Nov 20.

The new travel route includes a one day tour in Fangchenggang and one day in Moncay. Tourists can visit Moncay, Chagu Beach, Chagu Island Catholic Church and other places in Vietnam. The members of the first tourist group will also participate in the China-Vietnam Merchandise Travel Fair.
