Zhaoqing is expanding its tourism reach with two new high-end tourist attractions: Gaoyao Guangxin Agro-Ecological Park and Longwan International Tourist Center.

Guangdong Zhengyu Group will invest 3 billion yuan to upgrade and expand Gaoyao Guangxin Agro-Ecological Park. Developers want to turn it into an "East-Meets-West holiday paradise and a green relaxation town in South China”.

The total investment of the Longwan International Tourist Center in Guangning is 1.098 billion yuan. After the project is completed, it will become the first large riverside entertainment and holiday resort in the Pearl River Delta region and a high-end tourist and holiday center in Zhaoqing.

Zhaoqing and Guangxi’s Wuzhou signed a framework agreement for tourism cooperation on May 25. Eight travel agencies in the two cities also signed tourist exchange agreements.

Zhaoqing and Wuzhou belong to different provinces and region, but they are neighbors and share a common dialect. They are among the cities that signed an agreement for a Guangdong and Guangxi barrier-free tourism zone. Wuzhou owns the largest and best-preserved arcade town in China, the oldest and largest dragon mother temple in Lingnan, the oldest Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in China and other famous attractions.
