Zhanjiang mayor Jiang Jianjun met a delegation headed by Lin Zhihao, director of Nanhai Rescue Bureau of the Ministry of Transport, on Nov 15 to discuss the preparatory work for the upcoming marine economy expo.

This year's China Marine Economy Expo, which will be held in Zhanjiang from Dec 14 to 17, is set to be bigger and better than ever with the latest in cutting-edge technologies and industrial achievements on display.

During the meeting, Jiang showed appreciation for the long-standing support given by the bureau, believing that marine rescue helicopter and deep-sea detection devices provided by the latter are set to enhance the attraction of the marine expo.

In return, the city will pull out all stops to assist the bureau in speeding up the construction on Zhanjiang Air Emergency Rescue Base. Leveraging its geological superiority and strength in facilities, Zhanjiang is confident in helping solve any possible difficulties in the project, Jiang said.
