India was listed as Zhanjiang's largest export market with an export value of 450 million yuan in the first seven months of 2017, accounting for 61.9 percent of the city's total export value with BRICS countries during the same period.

In the meantime, Brazil was ranked as the largest importer of Zhanjiang, as the import value reached 2.6 billion yuan as of July. The figure made up 93.8 percent of the total import value of the city with BRICS countries.

In the first seven months of this year, the import and export between the two sides were dominated by general trade, which reaped in 2.39 billion yuan and accounted for 68.3 percent of the total.

Private and state-owned enterprises remained the pillars of import and export with a larger share at 75.3 percent in total. However, foreign-owned enterprises showed a positive momentum with a year-on-year increase of 290 percent.
