The Chinese Marine Science Technology and Financial Service Innovation Development Forum, a part of CMEE 2016, was held in Zhanjiang on Nov 26.

The forum aimed to facilitate the cooperation among marine technologies, industries and finance to explore further sources of financing for marine industries and related support enterprises.

Experts and scholars in the industry were invited to make speeches and discuss the policies of innovative development for marine technologies, planning and the management of enterprises engaged in the industry, particularly to share expertise on attracting investment.

Zhanjiang is stepping up efforts to build a marine city by strengthening its port construction and ocean industry. The coastal city boasts abundant marine resources and aquatic products, and has huge potential to develop its marine economy with the aid of advanced maritime science and technology.
