A delegation of Zhanjiang city, led by its mayor Wang Zhongbing, visits Indonesia, Thailand and Cambodia from Dec 3 to 12 for economic and trade talks.

The visit is aimed at enhancing economic and trade cooperation between Zhanjiang and the countries along the "Belt and Road", ASEAN countries in particular. It will also contribute to promoting cooperation between Zhanjiang Port and other ports along the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.

In Indonesia, the Zhanjiang delegation will have talks with delegations from Indonesia's Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries and Indonesian Commerce Department, to explore cooperation opportunities in ocean engineering and trade and processing of aquatic and marine products.

In Thailand, the delegation will discuss economic and trade cooperation, marine development and protection, and investment projects with Phuket Provincial Government.

It will also meet Thailand's Trade Development Commission for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises to deepen cooperation in agricultural products, marine products and cross-border e-commerce.

The delegation will seek Cambodian government's support for Zhanjiang companies' investment in the country when visiting Cambodia.
