Thousands of Zhanjiang residents participated in a hiking event in the Sanling Mountain National Forest Park on Oct 24.

The event, run on two different tracks with a length of 5-km and 10-km each, had five stations along the way, with each station providing a special seal for hikers. Those hikers who collected all five seals were presented a prize.

Among the participants were many senior residents, who seemed to have the same level of energy and enthusiasm as younger ones did. All participants enjoyed the fresh air and the beautiful scenery during the hiking.

The event was sponsored by yinsha.com, one of Zhanjiang's Internet portals.
