Zhanjiang will cooperate with the China Cold-Chain Logistics Alliance in promoting the development of cold-chain logistics and modern agriculture in Zhanjiang.

The China Cold-Chain Logistics Alliance is the authoritative organization in China’s food and cold-chain logistics industry, with more than 5,000 member enterprises distributed throughout China.

At a seminar with senior executives of the CCLA in Beijing on January 12, Wang Zhongbing, mayor of Zhanjiang city, said that he hoped that the CCLA could offer support and guidance to Zhanjiang in terms of establishing and improving its modern cold-chain logistics system.

Wang said that although Zhanjiang has a mature and prosperous planting industry, which produces abundant agricultural products, it lags behind in branding due to lack of promotion and an established logistics system.

Wang said that he expects more communication and cooperation between the CCLA and Zhanjiang. He hoped that the CCLA could give more attention to Zhanjiang agriculture and offer practical advice to boost Zhanjiang’s modern agricultural development.

Wang also asked the CCLA to receive more cold-chain logistics enterprises from Zhanjiang and to help them establish a local industry alliance. Senior officials from the CCLA praised the large agricultural production capacity in Zhanjiang and its quality agricultural products.

They said that the CCLA could support Zhanjiang agriculture and cold-chain logistics in industry planning, distribution network expansion, investment promotion and marketing.

They said the CCLA was glad to offer resources and serve as a think-tank for governments and enterprises. The CCLA would organize its member enterprises to visit Zhanjiang in due time.
