Dabu helps transportation industry development

Dabu county, near the city of Meizhou, Guangdong province, is now looking for some opportunities to develop its transportation industry and improve road quality and build a transport hub, according to Dabu authorities.

The county has put 30.45 billion yuan ($4.97 billion) into 32 highway projects, this year, covering 740.7 kilometers, with seven with 4.86 billion yuan in funds under construction, and 11 more set to start. It is hoping to become a transport hub with more convenient traffic in different directions.

It also expects to pay more attention to water conservation, and a Hanjiang project, costing 5.5 billion yuan, is going well, with another 12 water conservation projects, costing 175 million yuan, in the preparation stage.
