Enterprises transform in Dabu

A focus on quality and cooperation have enabled Dabu county, near the city of Meizhou, in Guangdong province, to experience a transformation and restructuring of its enterprises, in order to become both a tourist center and the location of bases of the industries of ceramics, biomedicine and power, according to Dabu authorities.

Ceramics enterprises in Dabu succeeded in industrial restructuring by extending markets and improving quality, and generated tax of 35.74 million yuan ($5.84 million) in the first four months, a growth of 64.9 percent, with the industry's output hitting 697 million yuan, an increase of 16.5 percent over the same period last year.

Cooperation between enterprises is also essential for the success of an enterprise's industrial transformation. This is true for Guangdong Chaohua Technology Co - which promotes more advanced and innovative projects - and other companies in the industries of biomedicine and alcohol.

The county also aims to raise more financial support for projects like investment in the hydropower and thermal power.-In the first four months, power industry generated tax of 20.81 million yuan, an increase of 17 percent. The county also promotes its modern service industries, covering health care, wedding services, and cultural innovation.
