Investment briefing held in Dabu county

An investment briefing was held in Dabu of Meizhou, Guangdong province on April 9, 2012 to discuss the county's goals for attracting investments for the future. The briefing was presided over by Zeng Zhaoming, president of the county CPPCC.

Luo Weichun, member of the standing committee of the county Party committee, introduced the county's investment work in 2011 as well as its investment environment, investment prospects, main areas for investment and a series of preferential policies. Participants freely discussed and expressed their opinions and suggestions for the county's goals of encouraging investment.

In 2011, Dabu attracted 77 investment projects, amounting to a venture of 15.74 billion yuan ($2.50 billion). The invested enterprises in the county achieved an output value of 2.15 billion yuan and a tax of 118.89 million yuan, earning $84.1 million in foreign exchange.

Zhu Handong, head of Dabu county, made a speech at the briefing. He said he hoped that fellow villagers and entrepreneurs will continue to concern themselves with prospects and will support the economic and social development of their hometown as they always have. Ideas can be put forward for Dabu's development, investments may be made and assistance can be given to improve the county's asset environment and preferential policies.

The local government and related departments will provide high-quality services for enterprises to make investments or who seek to cooperate in the county. Preferential support and measures will be offered to draw more funds and promote fast economic and social development for the county.
