The Headquarters of Northwest African Region of CGGC International was inaugurated

On October 25th, the Headquarters of Northwest African Region of CGGC International was inaugurated in Abuja, Capital City of Nigeria, which signifies CGGC is taking big strides towards its goal of accelerating market development and enhancing the quality and efficiency of overseas business. Mr. Zhou Jianping, Ambassador of Chinese Embassy in Nigeria, and Alhaji Mustapha Baba Shehuri, Nigeria Minister of State for Power, and other Chinese and Indonesian government officials were invited to the inauguration ceremony. Mr. Lv Zexiang, General Manager of CGGC International unveiled the nameplate and delivered a speech on behalf of CGGC. About 150 people were present which included honorable guests from various sectors of China and Indonesia, staff of the Headquarters of Northwest African Region and responsible persons from overseas organizations in countries covered by the Headquarters.

In his speech on the ceremony, Mr. Lv Zexiang said the inauguration of the Headquarters of Northwest African Region of CGGC International represents the top-level achievement the implementation of CGGC's overseas market development plan and the significant achievement of work arrangement. It signifies that CGGC has made great progress with its efforts of accelerating overseas market development in light of the market reform guideline which encourages “dividing up the market by regions, securing each regional market, pushing the market forward”. It will help secure CGGC's competitive edge over other Chinese enterprises which are also trying to enter the global market, and lay a solid foundation for CGGC's transformation to one of the world's top large-scale transnational corporations.

Mr. Lv Zexiang extended his sincere gratitude to friends of all social sectors for their great support and expressed his high expectation towards the development of the Headquarters of Northwestern African Region. He hoped it will give full play to CGGC's technological strength, investment and financing capacity and cultural soft power, play an active role in the regional social economic construction, assimilate to local communities, live up to its social responsibilities, share the benefits of development with northwestern African countries, and contribute to the well-being of local communities.

Alhaji Mustapha Baba Shehuri, Minister of State for Power, Works & Housing of Nigeria extended earnest welcome to the Abuja-based Headquarters of Northwestern African Region of CGGC International. He said CGGC is one of the world's top enterprises in energy and infrastructure industry, which has earned a good reputation with a number of engineering feats in Northwestern Africa as well as the whole Africa. The Nigerian government will give consistent support to CGGC and help it develop its business in Northwestern African countries with Nigeria as the base, and strive together with CGGC for a better social economy in the region.

It is said that the Headquarters of Northwestern African Region of CGGC International covers 28 countries in total and performs centralized management on the market development and the projects under construction in the region. Its inauguration signifies CGGC is one step closer towards a mature and sound global management and control mode of international business. The Headquarters of Northwestern African Region will learn from the achievements and experience of the CGGC's international business over the decade, work together with member companies, carry out its obligations, and contribute to the transformation and upgrading of CGGC's international business and its leapfrog development.
