On September 3, 2016, Wang Jianping, Chairman of the Board and Secretary of the CPC of China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited (CEEC), held talks with President Idriss Deby of Chad in the G20 Hangzhou Summit in Hangzhou.
Mr. Wang introduced the overall conditions of CEEC and the international business development in recent years to Mr. Deby, focusing on the advantages of the full industrial chain and lifecycle service period; described the international business of China Gezhouba (Group) Corporation (CGGC) as well as its development in Chad; and proposed suggestions for the projects being tracked by CGGC. According to Mr. Wang, CEEC is willing to continue to exploit the industrial advantages to the full, vigorously implement the strategy to give priority to the international business development and further carry out in-depth cooperation with the government of Chad in terms of infrastructure construction, in a bid to make contributions to local economic development and bring benefits to local people. Mr. Deby recognized CEEC's overall strength in the infrastructure construction, especially in the fields of electric power and energy construction, and praised CEEC's achievements in these fields. At present, the water supply and electric power are two fields to which the government of Chad attaches the greatest importance and the projects being tracked by CEEC are national projects in Chad; therefore, the local government will give full support to CEEC in promoting relevant projects, according to Mr. Deby. Meanwhile, Mr. Deby is looking forward to the in-depth cooperation with CEEC in the fields of transportation, housing construction, communications, etc.

Bachir, Head of the Ministry of Energy and Oil of Chad; Djimrangar Dadnadji Joseph, the President's Chief of Staff; Song Ji, Ambassador to China; Ren Jianguo, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC and Deputy General Manager of CGGC; and Yuan Baoyi, Deputy General Manager of CGGC International were present at the talks.
