Li Pingli met with Chinese Ambassador to Ivory Coast

On August 7, Li Pingli, Secretary of the Party Committee of CGGC International met with Tang Weibin, Chinese Ambassador to Ivory Coast at Abidjan, the economic capital of Ivory Coast.

Li Pingli gave an introduction to the development history, business scope, current business development in the international market and African market, management of projects under construction and representative projects of the CGGC. She also made a report about the research results of her trip to Northwest African region and the progress of relative projects. She expressed thanks to Ambassador Tang for his consistent support to the CGGC's development in Ivory Coast. She said that Northwest Africa is an important arena for the overseas development of the CGGC. The CGGC will increase the investment and give preferential support in this area in terms of policy, personnel, fund, etc. It will further develop the market of this region including Ivory Coast and bring benefits to the local people. It will contribute its due share to the strengthening of the friendship between China and Ivory Coast.

Ambassador Tang extended warm welcome to the delegation led by Li Pingli and congratulated on their research results. Mr. Tang said that Ivory Coast has seen its politics tending towards stability and its economy developing steadily. In recent two years, it has become the fastest growing economy in Africa with favorable business environment and standard legal system and governance. He suggested that the CGGC make overall plans for the strategic layout of regional markets, seek new methods and perspectives of market development, adhere to the principle of mutual benefits, focus on tracking and implementing the projects in fields of energy, transportation, etc., and lay a foundation for its steady development in the Northwest African regional market.

Qian Lixia, Counsellor of Political Affairs of Chinese Embassy to Ivory Coast was present at the meeting. During her stay in Ivory Coast, Li Pingli also paid a visit to Sun Liang, Counsellor of Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office.

While conducting the research, Li Pingli also visited some Chinese enterprises in Ivory Coast including Huawei's Branch Office in Ivory Coast, the West African Headquarters of the CTCC, the West African Headquarters of CHEC, etc., and made extensive exchanges and discussions in terms of the operation and management of overseas enterprises and overseas party building.

While conducting the research, Li Pingli also had talks with the employees of the CGGC's Branch in Ivory Coast.

Li Pingli was accompanied by responsible persons from External Financing Department, Overseas Offices Management Department, Financial Department, Division III of International Department and relative overseas branches.
