On 9 May 2016, at the Project Management Division of Qatar Mega Reservoir Package E, 1# pool diversion wall of trial lot was casted with concreted successfully, which marked the start-point of the upper operation process for the pool construction.
The concrete cast quantity was not huge, but it required to be completed at a time and the diversion wall as high as 11.2m intensified the construction difficulty, which demanded extremely strict safety and quality specifications. This is why the project division made elaborate preparation in advance. They buckled down to the quality and procedure control in construction and finally passed through the examination of consultant engineers at one shot.
The completed concreting of the diversion wall on trial provided precious experience for the following wall construction as well as a sound foundation to press ahead with the second node construction.
