On March 30, No.1 and No.2 radial gates of the dam of Neelum–Jhelum (N-J) Hydropower Project were opened successfully. The opening ceremony was attended by Zafar Mahmood, President of Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) of Pakistan, and General Zubair, CEO of N-J Project.
No.1 and No.2 radial gates are both 15m high and 12m wide at the weight of over 400 tons. Zafar Mahmood, grateful for CGGC people's diligent efforts, believed CGGC to be a convincible contractor of WAPDA. He hoped CGGC could exert persistent effort in proceeding with all jobs of N-J Hydropower Project to build it to be CGGC’s benchmarking project in Pakistan.
