On 4 November, 2015, Chen Xiaohua, Vice President of CGGC and Chairman of CGGC International, was received in audience by Mr. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of Republic of Liberia, at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse during his visit to China. Both parties carried out practical and friendly discussions on cooperation in infrastructure construction of Liberia and reached consensus to jointly boost implementation of related projects to benefit people of Liberia as soon as possible. Minister without Portfolio of Liberia and Ambassador of Liberia to China participated in the talk.

Chen Xiaohua introduced CGGC's development course, overall strength, global development layout of international business and a series of representative international projects including the project of President Nestor Kirchner and Governor Jorge Cepernic Hydropower Station in Argentina, Caculo Cabaca Hydropower Station in Angola, State Mine Heavy Oil Power Station invested and operated by CGGC in Liberia, the business of Gezhouba Explosive Co., Ltd. and the further progress of Yalata Hydropower Station. Chen Xiaohua said that CGGC would inherit and promote long-term friendly cooperative tradition of both parties, fully exerting its excellent technique, management and financing advantages to further participation in the investment and construction in local energy infrastructure so as to benefit the people of Liberia.
President Sirleaf gave full approval to the comprehensive strength and internationally developing achievements of CGGC and showed his praise for CGGC's long-term devotion to the social and economic construction of Liberia. He said that the government of Liberia welcomed CGGC to continue with its involvement in the construction and investment in energy infrastructure of Liberia and would designate related authorities to contact CGGC for specific projects and issues. He hoped that both parties would consistently deepen win-win cooperation and further enhance social progress and economic development of Liberia.
