On May 13, 2015 (local time), President of Congo (Brazzaville) Denis Sassou-N‘Guesso and his wife visited construction site of Liouesso Hydropower Station, accompanied by senior government officials, the employer, project engineer and CGGC officials.
President Denis Sassou-N‘Guesso paid a visit to the intake, dam body, power house and debriefed LeonIbovi, Deputy Director of State Power Board and Project Leader of Liouesso Hydropower Station, on the project progress. He was satisfied with the current progress and grateful to CGGC for its endeavor paid in the project.
During his visit, President Denis Sassou-N‘Guesso was interviewed by State TV of Congo (Brazzaville) along with other media. He said in the interview that Liouesso Hydropower Station is a national key livelihood project aiming to solve the power problem in Sangha. He hoped for the project’s power generating at the soonest time to improve local people’s life. He was pleased with CGGC’s endeavor and achievement on constructing Liouesso Hydropower Station and believed that CGGC will complete the project successfully.
