On November 29, 2014, the last unit of Jinpingg-Ⅱ Hydropower Station on Ya-lung River partly constructed by CGGC was put into operation. Based on this, the 14 sets of 600MW unit were all into production. Leaders from CEEC and CGGC were present at the ceremony of production and summarization convention.

Jinping Hydropower Station, the landmark project of “west-to-east power transmission” project, the highest arch dam and the largest hydropower station on Ya-lung River with total installed capacity of 8,400MW and the largest-scale hydraulic tunnels, consists of Jinping-ⅠHydropower Station and Jinping-Ⅱ Hydropower Station. Jinping-ⅠHydropower Station, located in Yanyuan County and Muli County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with installed capacity of 3,600MW, is the highest concrete double-curve arch dam with height of 305m. The first units of Jinping-ⅠHydropower Station were put into operation on August 30, 2013, and on July 12, 2014, the Jinping-ⅠHydropower Station wholly went into production. The Jinping-Ⅱ Hydropower Station, located at the border of Yanyuan County, Muli County and Mianning County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province, has an installed capacity of 4,800MW and the largest-scale hydraulic tunnels. On December 30, 2012, the first unit of Jinpingg-Ⅱ Hydropower Station was put into operation, and on November 29, 2014, the Jinping-Ⅱ Hydropower Station wholly went into production.
As the main constructor of Jinping Hydropower Station, CGGC undertook the left-bank dam project of Jinping-ⅠHydropower Station, water intake project of Jinping-Ⅱ Hydropower Station, the construction of underground power house and the installation﹠commission of units of Jinping-Ⅱ Hydropower Station. Principal of CGGC said, the Jinping Hydropower Station was considered as the project with biggest technical difficulty, most dangerous construction environment, most difficult construction layout and most difficult construction management by experts at home and abroad. CGGC has overcame numerous extremely difficult challenges including short construction period, more works, high technical difficulty and natural hazard such as debris flow, solved many most difficult problems, fulfilled successfully all the indicators including schedule, quality, safety, environmental protection of works, etc., shown CGGC’s strength and built CGGC’s good image.
