On August 29, 2014, the Department of Energy in the Gabon Ministry of Energy and Hydraulic Resources released a notice to award the Fe II and Imperatrice power station project to CGGC.
The Gabon Ministry of Energy and Hydraulic Resources carried out open bidding for this project, and CGGC eventually won the bidding by beating companies from Spain, Portugal and France. The scope of the project includes the dam, grit chamber, penstock, open channel, power station buildings and tailrace.
