KMT legislator says Pingtan's future is bright
Updated: 2014-06-03

Some representatives from Taiwan’s ruling party Kuomintang visited the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ) on May 16 to investigate its investment prospects and preferential policies.

Pingtan will soon be closed for customs operations, which will make the future of Pingtan’s development brighter, said Lee Chuan-chiao, a Kuomintang legislator.

“The time is ripe for Pingtan’s comprehensive development, as it boasts geographic and policy advantages, and is incomparable in logistics. I hope Pingtan can make full use of them and build itself into a platform for communication and logistics,” he said.

Lee also pledged to advocate Pingtan’s favorable policies back in Taiwan.
