Trade in agricultural products between Fujian province and Taiwan amounted to $320 million in the first quarter, an 83 percent year-on-year increase, according to statistics from the Xiamen customs office.
The province’s agricultural exports to Taiwan were worth $280 million, up 89.2 percent from the same period last year. Its imports reached $33.68 million, up 43.2 percent.
March has seen a jump in business compared to February, Fujian’s exports rose 88.9 percent, and imports grew 98.3 percent.
