The Sino Life Insurance Co's chairman, Zhang Jun, and its management visited the city of Dalian, Liaoning province, on Aug 13, for discussions with Li Wancai, the mayor of Dalian on investment and cooperation.
Zhang and Li had already talked about cooperation back in May, when a Dalian delegation visited Shenzhen, Guangdong province. So, Sino Life Insurance is now thinking about a methanol utilization base and ecology projects on Dalian’s Changxing Island, and putting a headquarters building there for northeastern markets.
Li said that Changxing is important for developing Liaoning's Coastal Economic Belt and significant for Dalian's development and that he hopes that the two Sino Life Insurance projects can consider environmental and ecological protection.
Zhang responded by saying that he has seen Dalian's advantages through this visit and that his company's two projects are underway.
The delegation also talked about the location of a headquarters building with the government of Dalian.
