The city of Dalian's Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau held a conference to discuss an international e-commerce site for the Liaoning province city, on July 31, according to Dalian officials.
Liu Dechun, the bureau chief, Fu Cheng, deputy director of China International Electronic Commerce Center, various local officials, and representatives of several dozen enterprises took part in the event, with Liu and Fu addressing the meeting.
One result of the meeting was letters of intention for two bearing companies in the city's Wafangdian district, worth 8 million euros ($10.6 million) and 5 million euros at Hannover Messe,an industrial fair in Hannover, Germany. More Dalian companies say they are trying to expand their international business via e-commerce.
