Liaoning modern services in the lead

The modern service work in Liaoning province has taken the lead in China, thanks to its 2012 performance, when growth in service industry added value was 0.4 percentage points higher than GDP growth, 0.1 percentage points higher for secondary industry, and 1.8 percentage points above the national average for service industry.

Pilot work in modern services began in 2011 and the province has been developing modern service zones, public service platforms, and modern logistics and e-commerce. In addition, it came up with policies that support modern services and has received 900 million yuan ($146.79 million) from the central government and 1.85 billion yuan from local governments.
