A total of two large projects with an investment of 240 million yuan ($38.6 million) are expected to be constructed in Zhejiang Business Industry Base at Puwan New District in Dalian in the first half of this year, an annual meeting of the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce in Dalian announced on Jan 20.
Located at Puwan New District, Dalian, Zhejiang Business Industry Base was set up in 2012 after extensive investigation and preparation. It consists of dozens of member enterprises from the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce.
The base covers an area of 500,000 square meters, with planned land area in the first phase reaching 200,000 square meters.
Two enterprises are ready to construct projects in the first half of this year. One project is the Orient Medical Equipment Project. With an investment of 100 million yuan and an expected annual output value of 140 million yuan, the project mainly produces medical equipment such as infusion sets and syringes. The other is Tianlong Metal Cabinets Manufacturing Project. It mainly produces office furniture and supporting products. It has an investment of 140 million yuan and an expected annual output of 200 million yuan.
There are almost 80,000 businesspeople from Zhejiang in Dalian. They have set up more than 3,500 enterprises in total.
With a total investment of more than 50 billion yuan, they have made great contributions in many industries, including real estate, retail, international and domestic energy trade, financial futures, financing guarantees, building material manufacturing and marketing.
