The ground-breaking ceremony for Yifeng International Automobile Square, the biggest automobile square in Dalian, was held yesterday. The square will be a top distribution center providing modern services including auto parts sales, auto import and export, car decoration and an auto show. It will also support sustainable economic development in the Paoya area and relieve unemployment.
The first phase of the program covers 86,500 square meters with an investment of 1.5 billion yuan ($240.8 million). The main building will be completed in August 2013, and the 20-story landmark building will be completed in November 2013. The square is expected to open for business in 2014. The second phase of the program is now preparing for land demolition. The work team and relevant officials are working in a coordinated effort to advance the program.
