Fire prevention publicity in Zhejiang province

By Mi Yunjing (english.legalinfo.gov.cn) Updated : 2017-03-21

The procuratoriate in Jingning of Southern China’s Zhejiang province held fire prevention activities together with other departments on March 19 in anticipation of Tomb-sweeping Day which falls on April 4 this year.

At the activity site, the participants learned how to report forest fires to ensure timely forest protection and enforcement of relevant administrative laws through scanning the QR code and following the official Wechat account of Jingning procuratoriate,

Tomb-sweeping Day is a Chinese festival in which people visit columbaria, graves or burial grounds to pray to their ancestors. In many regions, people still keep the custom of burning paper money to worship their dead ancestors. If the custom is followed in mountain areas there is an increased risk of forest fire.
