Tai'an in East China's Shandong province signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with SenseTime Group to jointly build the "AI + smart city" project on Aug 14.

SenseTime is an artificial intelligence company that focuses on innovative computer vision and deep learning technologies.

Zhang Tao, mayor of Tai'an, delivered a speech at the signing ceremony.

He said that the city's new generation of information technology industry maintains a good development momentum. As SenseTime is the world's leading artificial intelligence company, the cooperation will promote the transformation of the city's digital government, provide intellectual support for optimizing the city's industrial layout and promoting resource integration, as well as enhance the city's popularity and influence at home and abroad.

Zhang said that the local government will provide a sound environment and give full support for the project's construction.

He expressed his hope that SenseTime can make full use of its advantages in resources, technology, and talents, as well as make scientific planning and accelerate the construction of the project, striving to make the project a benchmark case for the construction of smart cities in China.

Zhang also expressed his hope that the two sides will take this opportunity to deepen cooperation to jointly create a better future.
