A 15-member construction and management workshop from science and technology parks in Colombia visited Zhongguancun on Dec 3. Officials from the Zhongguancn International Exchange and Cooperation Center received the delegation at a welcoming meeting. Representatives from IBM also attended the meeting.

The delegation learned general information about the science park through a promotional video. They also learned about Zhongguancun's development, management models, preferential policies, enterprise settlements and overseas liaison offices.

IBM representatives introduced the company's development situation in Zhongguancun, as well as Zhongguancun's advantages in attracting companies.

The Colombian representatives introduced 16 of the countries key industries, including electronic information, energy, healthcare and agriculture. The Colombian government also provides preferential tax policies for the construction of free trade zones to encourage investment and development. At the same time, related institutions and trade associations will provide training, recruitment, consulting and other services.
