Recently, a delegation comprising ten representatives from Germany's life science companies visited the Zhongguancun Science Park, and attended the exchanging activity with counterparts from China.

The delegation was received by the International Exchange and Cooperation Department, the Industry Department, the Personnel Department of the Administrative Committee under the Zhongguancun Science Park, and related persons in charge of the park.

The International Exchange and Cooperation Department introduced the overall situation of the demonstration zone. During the discussion, representatives of the two countries briefly introduced their products, market trends, and the exploration intentions of their companies.

The German delegation sent seven companies, including Activaero GmbH, which is engaged in the research and development of pulmonary atomization administration and transmission technology; Harrison Clinical Research GmbH, focusing on the research of biopharmaceutical technologies and clinical trials; IRIS Biotech GmbH, involving in the research and development of bio-technologies and drugs; and Proteros Biostructures, who focus on X-ray protein structure analysis and drug development.

The Chinese enterprises participating in the discussion includes Beijing Weidafamu Technology Co Ltd, which is engaged in the study of protein stability and drug delivery systems; Beijing Northland Biotech Co Ltd, focusing on the research and development of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals; CapitalBio Corporation in the research and development of biochips field; and 13 other biological medicine producers and medical enterprises from the demonstration zone.

During the seminar and exchanging luncheon, representatives showed strong interests in the innovation of pharmaceutical products. They expressed hopes to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with each other. The participating companies also said that the meeting activity was very helpful for international cooperation and an overseas market expansion, and they look forward to more opportunities for international inter-enterprise exchanges to be hosted by the Administrative Committee of the Zhongguancun Science Park.

After the luncheon, the German life science delegation visited the showroom of CapitalBio Corporation and was informed of the company's innovation and product development.
