Updated: 2012-03-07

Archaeologists confirm the ruins of Dinghu Gate that date back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).

Restoration of Dinghu Gate of the ancient Shouxian county is under way.

The Dinghu Gate, or Western Gate, was torn down in 1975. With rapid growth of tourism in recent years, authorities plan to reconstruct the gate that was built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
