Northeast China’s Jilin province has launched a series of car-themed experience tour to celebrate the National Tourism Day.

The launching ceremony for the Hongqi car experience tour was held on May 19 in Changchun, capital of Jilin province.

Nearly 100 people including journalists, officials from tourism department, and Changchun residents participated in the event, taking Hongqi car and listening to stories related to the Hongqi culture.

This activity, held in the year of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, aims to promote cultural and tourism influence in Jilin province through integration and innovation.

The activity, under the theme of “taking Hongqi car and traveling in Jilin”, also tries to promote the Changchun-bases automobile company as well as the tourism products developed by the company.

Lots of tourist routes were launched to make tourists truly feel the Hongqi culture.

Tourists can learn the history of Hongqi development by visiting the Hongqi culture pavilions and automobile production lines.

“We have improved our national feelings by listening to Hongqi stories and visiting the manufacturing base,” said a Changchun resident when driving a Hongqi car during his experience tour.

Hongqi, or Red Flag, is a brand belonging to China’s automaker, Changchun-based FAW Group.
