Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is set to sizzle this summer as superstar Aaron Kwok becomes the next in line to be immortalized in wax at the new and interactive attraction scheduled to reopen in May 2006.

Selected for his outstanding achievements in the world of entertainment, the all-round performer attracts huge crowds whenever he appears in concerts, which are renowned for extravagant staging, lavish costumes and dramatic settings. With fan clubs throughout Asia, Aaron is sure to be one of the most adored wax figures at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.

Aaron was also awarded the Best Actor Golden Horse Award in 2005 for his performance in the film 'Divergence' and further proved his versatility as an entertainer by picking up the Hong Kong Dance Award in the same year.

Aaron's achievements are not confined to the stage and screen and in 2003 he was recognized as one of the "Ten Outstanding Young Persons". Apart from being an active participant in various charity programmes including Po Leung Kuk, the Hong Kong Jockey Club and WWF, Aaron set up his own foundation in 2000 and is a regular contributor to various charities. Specific projects Aaron has been dedicated to include building schools in mountainous areas in Mainland China and elderly welfare.

At Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, Aaron will make an impression in the Hong Kong Glamour hall where he will star alongside Hollywood's A-list including Hugh Grant, Brad Pitt, Michelle Yeoh and Elizabeth Taylor at what will be the hottest celebrity party in town.

During the sitting for his wax figure, Aaron talked easily about his upcoming show and proudly displayed the costume he is donating for his wax figure to wear. Typical to his dazzling style, Aaron will strike a flamboyant pose in a loose black jacket adorned with bursts of colorful flowers, as the handsome star sexily shows off his muscular torso and invites guests to get up close and personal. Designed by internationally renowned art director William Chang, Aaron wore the outfit during his Mega Hits Live in Concert 2004.

Kelly Mak, Head of Marketing & Customer Services of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong said, "We're very excited to welcome Aaron Kwok to the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong all star family. Hong Kong Glamour is one of the new and interactive themed areas and is part of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong's HK$20 million expansion project.

"Aaron's eager fans will be thrilled to see how close they can get to him as he stands in his element at the celebrity party in the Hong Kong Glamour hall."

Aaron Kwok said: "The new Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is going to be an interactive party for every guest and I am delighted to be a part of the excitement. For those fans I haven't had the chance to meet, my likeness doesn't have the hectic schedule I keep so you can see me anytime at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong!"
