Keying the classics

Chinese pianist Chen Sa will give her solo concert in Beijing. The 33-year-old is generally considered to be one of the best classical pianists in her generation. She has cooperated with numerous celebrated composers around the world and won critical acclaim in many countries. Her program includes Beethoven, Brahms and Debussy.

Dong ethnic choir

Dongzu Dage, or grand choir of singers of the Dong ethnic group, will give a traditional performance again in Beijing. The choir is composed of long-time farmers and offers a perfect example of the combination of human voice and nature from southwest China. The subtle emotion of the music will give a vivid reflection of the Dong people's daily life and love.

Jade sculpture

About 400 pieces of award-winning Chinese jade sculpture have been gathered in the Geological Museum of China. The free exhibition includes jade varieties from around China and represents the country's modern jade-carving technique.
