In 1998, the temple was inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage Site and was described as a masterpiece that denotes the evolution of civilization.

The Great Wall is the longest wall in the world. It consists of series of stones in northern China built initially to prevent the intrusions of other groups from the northern borders. The wall is divided into section, Mutianyu is fully restored and known as an overlapping mountain range by many. For those of you considering hiking the wall, Mutianyu is the perfect spot. Badaling is the best-preserved section of the wall. It is the most favored location on the wall for tourists. The Simitai section is the un-restored original wall, properly preserved and steep enough for hiking. Shanhaiguan is the part of the wall that meets the sea. Jiayuguan served as a gateway of the Silk Road, much of this section of the wall has been buried by sandstorm.

The Summer Palace is the largest and best-preserved imperial garden in China. Yihe Yuan the Chinese name for the palace means Health and harmony. It is a museum of tradition al Chinese garden arts. The palace is divided in to sections known as Hall of Jade Billows, The Garden of Virtue and Harmony, The Hall of Joyful longevity. The scenery area is made up of Kunming Lake and longevity Hill.

Other tourist attractions in Beijing include the national Olympic stadium, Beijing zoo, lama temple and many more. Sanlitun is an area for nightlife and relaxation.
