Pancake race
The Hilton Beijing lobby will be transformed into an obstacle course on Feb 16 for the first annual Pancake Race. Be one of the 15 contestants vying for the honor of finest pancake "tosser". The event draws on an English custom observed on the day before the fasting period known as Lent, leading up to Easter, called Pancake Tuesday. The Pancake Race contestants will have to make their way around while tossing a freshly made pancake. They will be judged on speed, style, costume and the number of complete tosses.

The set meals feature such typical dishes as sauted prawn ball with XO sauce, clear steamed Mandarin fish, and soup of abalone, sea cucumber and shark's fin. Jing Restaurant also offers lovers' set meals at 788 yuan or 999 yuan, inclusive of one cocktail or half a bottle of champagne respectively.
