Taste of tradition at Tang Place

Tang Place Chinese Restaurant, on the ground floor of Tangla Beijing Hotel, is gearing up for Spring Festival reunion dinners.

The restaurant is famous for Cantonese cooking. The typical Cantonese New Year dish "Good Fengshui", containing raw salmon and different vegetable slices, will be served. According to a legend, eating this dish would bring good luck to the diners in the New Year. One of the choicest cold dishes served in the Spring Festival, it is lightly flavored and healthy.

Other main dishes include the rare food Ah Yat abalone, sea cucumber, shark's fin and fish maw.

Service manager of the restaurant Sam Su says customers will be able to enjoy the Spring Festival Gala at dinner without having to rush through their meals to make room for the next set of guests.

The Spring Festival reunion dinner is one of the most important events for a Chinese family. These come in the price range of 2,888 yuan ($423) to 16,988 yuan per table of four to 12 diners. All prices are subject to a service surcharge of 15 percent.
