Country music band Lady Antebellum and R&B singer Maxwell will also be among those performing live on the music industry's biggest night on Jan 31, when the Grammy Awards are handed out in a live televised show, broadcaster CBS said on Tuesday.

Beyonce leads the field of Grammy contenders with 10 nominations, including the coveted album of the year, record of the year and song of the year for her hit Single Ladies.

Swift, 20, whose Fearless album is the biggest seller in the United States in 2009 but who has never won a Grammy, follows with eight nominations.

Hip-hop band Black Eyed Peas and Maxwell - making a return to the music business after an eight-year hiatus - are each up for six awards. Lady Antebellum is competing for two awards in the best country song (I Run to You) and best country band categories. Additional performers at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles will be announced at a later date.
