Foreign wine imports
Silver Base Group, distributor of the famous white liquor brand Wuliangye, announced its cooperation with companies in 11 countries to import their wines into China in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, last week. The wines include more than 200 red and white ones from France, Australia, and South America. The largest winery in Portugal, Sogrape, has already signed a contract with Silver Base to bring its red wines to the Chinese market. Other partners include Chateau La Brande, Domain Fabre, Distilleria and Savary Argentina.
Burger King comes to Beijing
Burger King has announced the opening of its 12,000th restaurant worldwide at the Joy City in Beijing's Xidan area.
This is the first time the American fast food company is bringing its flame-grilled burgers to downtown Beijing. The company has the second largest hamburger restaurant chain in the world. Joy City 3F 20/21, 5971-6392
