Celebrity lookalike sperm bank to open

A sperm bank specialising in donors who are celebrity lookalikes is to open in New York City, it has been reported.

California Cryobank's Donor Look-A-Likes is a fertility clinic based out of Los Angeles, whose unidentified donors are said to resemble a number of stars. The service allows prospective parents the chance to seek out famous faces for their unborn children and will soon open a second facility in Manhattan, the New York Daily News reports.

"I wish I could say all our donors look like Brad Pitt or Warren Beatty," said company spokesman Scott Browne. "But we know that donors look like all types.

"The intention is not to suggest the child will look like one of the celebrities. It's just to personalise the donor."

He added: "We have college athletes, musicians and PhD students. But there's no guarantee of any of their traits being passed on."

The most sought out figures on the company's website include David Beckham, Prince William, Paul Walker, Ben Affleck and American Footballer Brett Favre.

The East Coast locale of California Cryobank will reportedly be up and running within two months, while possible sperm donors are to go through rigourous testing to find out which celebrity they most closely resemble.
