[Photo: Xinhuanet] An exhibition of celebrities' wax figures opened in the National Museum of China in Beijing on Monday. The wax figures on show covers household names in history, politics, sports, science, literature, etc, Xinhua News Agency reports. The museum also set up a special division exhibiting the wax figures of the Olympics celebrities such as Chinese basketball star Yao Ming and US swimmer Michael Phelps who claimed eight gold medals at the Beijing Olympic Games. The museum offers visitors pamphlets with details on the wax figures. Visitors can also take part in various interactive activities, for instance, they can make wax figures themselves with the help of the museum's sculptors. The exhibition will run until the end of January 2009. |
