说过了kiss，再来说个和kiss 有关的片语。“口蜜腹剑”的英文表达是Judas kiss。犹大之吻？没错，我想大家都知道这个故事吧，是的，该词源出于圣经故事。Judas 是耶稣的十二门徒之一，但为了三十个银币却出卖了自己的老师耶稣。他假惺惺地向耶稣问好，并且亲吻他，以此向前来捉拿耶稣的人示意谁是耶稣。结果耶稣被他们捉走并钉死在十字架上。

新约路加福音 (Luke) 中记载了这个故事：

And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him. But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss? (即：While he was still speaking a crowd came up, and the man who was called Judas, one of the Twelve, was leading them. He approached Jesus to kiss him, but Jesus asked him, "Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?")

现在“Judas kiss（犹大之吻）”便用来比喻背叛行为：

When he said he had some extremely important information and must talk to the chief in person, no one suspected it was meant to be a Judas kiss. 当他说有些极为重要的情报，必须和头儿亲自谈时，谁也没怀疑这是个出卖的行为。

另外，与 Judas kiss 相关联的一个短语是 play Judas（扮演 Judas 的角色），也就是充当了叛徒的意思：

One of us must have played Judas and disclosed our predetermined strategies to our rival team; otherwise we would not have been defeated so easily. 我们中一定有人当了奸细，把我们事先决定好的战略透露给对手了；否则我们不会输得这样快。
