Reader's question: Me too. If it doesn't come soon, I'm going to find the manager and give him a piece of my mind. Could you explain “give somebody a piece of my mind”?
My comments:
To give somebody a piece of your mind is to scold or chastise them. It also means to say exactly what you’re thinking, or say all that’s on your mind. In other words, not holding back. It’s often used like a warning.
Examples: I've had enough of him coming home late. I'm going to give him a piece of my mind when he gets in tonight.
Sally, stop it, or I'll give you a piece of my mind.
