Distinctive traditional Sichuan elements will be showcased to international tourists during a leg of an intercontinental cruise today through Thursday.

A Sichuan delegation will present split-second face-changing, Sichuan tea performance, paper-cutting art and gourmet Sichuan cuisine during the maiden voyage of the cruise ship Majestic Princess.

The ship departed Rome on May 21 to sail across key Maritime Silk Road points, including Greece, the United Arab Emirates, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Thailand, and will end in China's Xiamen on June 26.

On board are 7,000 tourists from more than 40 countries and regions.

Guests will enjoy local food and be immersed in Sichuan culture and history through programs on the ship.

The Sichuan performance is one of several Chinese shows arranged by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries to enjoy and better understand Chinese culture.
