The Ritz-Carlton,Shenzhen

The Ritz-Carlton, Shenzhen is schedule to open in early of autumn, 2008.The 273-room Ritz-Carlton, Shenzhen is strategically situated in the heart of the Futian district, just opposite the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center and accessible to Shenzhen's new Metro system, which connects with the Hong Kong border.

The mixed-use complex will include the hotel, office space, and high-end retail space and will be within walking distance to a metro station served by two lines. Contemporary in design, The Ritz-Carlton, Shenzhen comprises 273 guestrooms, including 43 suites that offer magnificent views of the city. Nine of the suites are complemented with a large balcony, while the Presidential Suite spanning two floors and more than 400 square meters (4,306 square feet), provides a 270-degree wide scope view of the city. The majority of the guest rooms will include a free-standing bathtub offering a view of the city. The project architect is Rocco Design, Ltd., and the interior designer is HBA, Hong Kong.

All guest rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including wireless internet access, alarm clocks with iPod docking stations, flat screen televisions and DVD players as standard to enable guests to both work and relax in their rooms.

Four specialty restaurants and The Bar will feature an array of dining options, from traditional Chinese to classic Italian cuisine. The Lobby Lounge will be the center of the hotel's dramatic atrium space, with a focal curved wall that connects all levels and is a combination of figured wood and back-lit golden-hued onyx. This space will accommodate both afternoon tea and impromptu business meetings, where guests may take advantage of the wireless technology.

The fifth floor of the hotel will feature a landscaped roof garden including an outdoor swimming pool with sun deck, a terrace, and a roof top bar and grill. A 1,300 square meters (13,993 square feet) health club and spa will also be located on this level, providing guests with a variety of recreational options.

Meeting space will range from a 700 square meters' (7,535 square feet) Grand Ballroom, which will be divisible by three, for conferences and special events, to nine smaller meeting rooms and an Executive Boardroom. In total the hotel will offer 1,204 square meters (12,960 square feet) all of which will be equipped with the most advanced technology.
