By the end of 2002, Accenture has set up its global information center in Dalian, just less than half a year after GM entered the city. This is the globally advanced management and information consultancy’s first information center in China, and is also the company’s fourth information center established in an overseas country after having one in the Philippines, London, and New York.
On March 13, 2003, a grand opening ceremony was held in Dalian, where its Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Accenture, Joe W. Forehand, said "We chose to open Accenture's Information Center here in Dalian because of its complete communication infrastructure, steady business environment, and its high-level talent reserve. All these positive factors will surely help us find effective and efficient solutions in serving the demands of the global market.”
